On Tuesday October 4th at approximately 8:00 am Nipawin RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle at Carol’s Cove Campground which is situated near Tobin Lake approximately 40 kms NW of Nipawin, Saskatchewan.
Investigation revealed that the vehicle a 1998 Chrysler Intrepid green in color was first observed parked at the campground around Sunday morning September 25th, 2011. Police were able to determine that the Registered owner of the vehicle is a 67 year old male from Zenon Park, Saskatchewan.
Checks with the family and friends confirmed that this person has not been seen for the past few days to at least a week.
During the early morning hours of Wednesday October 5th, Nipawin RCMP Members, RCMP police dog services, as well as the F Division Search and Rescue team began a search of the area where the car was located.
The missing person is Michel Guy FAVREAU, DOB 1944- 07-29 (67 years of age). Mr FAVREAU is approximately 175 cm tall (5' 9"), 77 kg ( 170 lbs). He has short ( balding) brownish, grey hair and blue eyes. He wears glasses but were are unable to identify any clothing he may have been wearing at this time.
