Arrest Warrants issued - Fort Qu'Appelle

This morning, a warrant to enter a dwelling was executed on the Nekaneet First Nations in a search for Preston Buffalocalf.  Buffalocalf was wanted on a warrant from Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP for Robbery with violence since early December 2011 and in connection with an aggravated assault in Maple creek area in early February 2012.  While effecting the entry warrant, there was a brief foot chase and Preston Buffalocalf was arrested and taken into custody by the RCMP.  
 
RCMP Members from Leader, Maple Creek, and Swift Current GIS assisted in the execution of the warrant and arrest.
 
Still at large is Kelfert Wayne Watetch, 20 years old, of Regina.  He is wanted on charges of Second Degree Murder and Robbery with violence.

The Maple Creek RCMP are currently investigating a stabbing which occurred on February 2, 2012, on the Nakaneet First Nation.  The RCMP were not alerted to the occurrence until the next day (February 3, 2012).  The 24 year old male victim has been transported to hospital. 
 
The RCMP are looking for the assistance of the public in locating Preston BUFFALOCALF, age 25, in relation to this incident.  Preston BUFFALOCALF currently has a warrant for Robbery on for an unrelated incident.

Members Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP and RCMP Major Crimes Unit South are requesting the public's assistance in the search for Preston Buffalocalf and Kelfert Watetch, both men are wanted in connection with the homicide of Joseph Lyle Bellegarde on Dec 1st 2011.
Preston Clarence Buffalocalf, 25 years old, of the Okanesse First Nation is wanted on a charge of Robbery with violence.
 
Kelfert Wayne Watetch, 20 years old, of Regina is wanted on charges of Second Degree Murder and Robbery with violence.
 
Investigators know that both suspects are transient and have family and associates across Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta who maybe aiding them in  avoiding capture.

Fort Qu'Appelle RCMP are continuing to request the public's assistance in locating and arresting Preston Buffalocalf and Kelfert Watetch.  Information has been coming in on both subject's whereabouts, but at this time both remain at large.  Buffalocalf is known to frequent the Regina area, Maple Creek area or Balcarres district.  Watetch may be out of the province, or in the Regina or Muscowpetung First Nation area.

The Major Crimes Unit South and Fort Qu'Appelle Detachment have made two arrests in conjunction with the below noted homicide.  Cassidy Aaron Goforth, 23 years old, of the Standing Buffalo First Nation has been arrested and charged with Robbery with Violence and is scheduled to make a court appearance in Fort Qu'Appelle Provincial Court on Monday December 12th, 2011.  Goforth was originally arrested on the afternoon of Thursday December 1st on an unrelated matter.   A second male was arrested late in the evening of Monday December 5th for robbery with violence, charges are still pending for him.
 
Arrest warrants have been issued for three other males
Preston Clarence Buffalocalf, 25 years old, of the Standing Buffalo First Nation is wanted on a charge of Robbery with violence.
 
Jesse Aaron Laswisse, 20 years old, of the Standing Buffalo First Nation is wanted on charges of Robbery with violence, Accessory after the fact to murder and Accessory after the fact to Aggravated Assault.
 
Kelfert Wayne Watetch, 20 years old, of Regina is wanted on charges of Second Degree Murder and Robbery with violence.
